Storing wine with Strongbox Self Storage

The Strongbox Self-Storage Wine Cellar features conditions created for the proper chilling and nurturing of red and white wines. Our underground wine cellars operate on four important factors, keeping your bottles properly preserved while not taking up space in your basement, dining room, living room, or kitchen. The four factors we follow for storing wine are:

  • Temperature - We use state of the art equipment to maintain an environmental control system that keeps our wines at a temperature of 55 degrees Fahrenheit year round. The equipment adjusts as warm product is brought in for storage, protecting each of our bottles individually.
  • Humidity - We maintain a relative humidity of somewhere between sixty and seventy percent, considered the ideal range for wine bottle storage. Any higher would cause mold development and label damage, and any lower could cause corks to dry out.
  • Vibration - Our cellars are free from street and traffic vibrations that could cause wines to throw off sediments too soon.
  • Light - All natural, ultraviolet light is eliminated
